The opportunity
This well-known food manufacturer out West has been in business for four generations. They deliver quality products throughout New Zealand using their own trucks and freight forwarders. With the business continuously looking for improvements, this is an exciting business to work for.

The role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for the team and all warehouse and distribution functions. Your role will include:

  • Working closely with the Operations Manager and Production Teams and establishing meaningful relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing goods and maintaining traceability.
  • Training and coaching staff members and creating a positive working environment where a job is done right the first time.
  • Establishing and maintaining safe working practices. 

Skills & experience

You have good communication skills and have experience managing a small team within a warehousing environment. Also you:

  • Have a Forklift licence.
  • Are hands-on and lead by example.
  • Are a great motivator, able to organise and encourage teamwork.
  • Have experience with Excel and WMS systems.
