With one of our team members about to start a family of their own we have a six (6) month leave replacement for an energetic and experience Supply Planning & Purchasing Specialist to join our team and help us continue to grow our business.

About the Opportunity  

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of plans and systems for managing optimum and accurate levels of raw materials and finished goods to fulfil production and distribution requirements.

This role is also responsible for co-ordinating all export shipments from Pitango - which will include organising shipping logistics and export documentation. 

Working closely with the production team this role also manages dispatch and inventory management of all finished goods

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Stock control - manage the weekly purchase of ingredients and consumables to support Pitango manufacturing
  • NZ Planning - using SAP system data and sales insights to generate a weekly production plan
  • Data analysis and reporting - turn data in decisions by providing the business with essential information to enable smart and forward-looking decisions.
  • Export Management - coordinate exports from Pitango
  • Stock reconciliation - oversee weekly stock stages to monitor variances and aged/obsolete stock.  Recommend solutions to minimize variances and write off

Skills and experience

  • Prior experience in FMCG production, preferably in a planning or logistics role
  • Advanced computer literacy in Excel and SAP.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment under pressure essential.
