October 2018 Newsletter

Welcome back to the last term of 2018!

NZPICS were well represented at the recent, annual APICS conference in Chicago. We had a contingent of 4 members attend this year.  Vijay Todkar, incoming NZPICS President, Denzil Rodriquez,  outgoing NZPICS President, Andrew Anquetil, NZPICS committee member and myself Rudi Kotze, newly appointed NZPICS GM.

This was a great opportunity to meet with likeminded Operations & Supply Chain Professionals and also to attend interesting seminars. Some of the many thought provoking topics discussed were: Digital Disruptors, Lean, Social Responsibility, Risk management, Block Chain, Demand Management & more specifically the S&OP process. Some of these topics will be shared with our members in more detail, in our future newsletters.

APICS made a big announcement during the conference and introduced the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).

ASCM is the new global leader in supply chain organization transformation, innovation and leadership. Built on the foundation of APICS, this is an all-encompassing supply chain management organization and a leader on end-to-end supply chain. With ASCM, APICS want to propel the supply chain field forward and transform how organizations do business.

APICS certifications through NZPICS in New Zealand will still demonstrate a commitment to global supply chain excellence . NZPICS is privileged to be a premium channel partner for APICS and ASCM: Developing Tomorrows Supply Chain Leaders Today
