SUMMARY:CSCM presents: Women in Supply Chain - End of Year Celebration with Carrie Hurihanganui
DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nAs we have been a little thin on the ground for events this year\, we decided that we would like to celebrate the end of the year with you with wrap up drinks and discussion. \nThe Centre of Supply Chain Management would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday 15th December\, at 5pm at the University of Auckland Business School where we will be able to debrief the year and start looking toward next year. \nJoining us will be Carrie Hurihanganui\, Chief Operating Officer\, Air New Zealand. Carrie will speak with us about how she has made her career decisions\, what she has learnt this year and what she is looking forward to in 2021. It will be a pleasure to hear how she has navigated the difficulties of this year and learn some of her tips for resilience which have enabled her to maintain her wellbeing and focus during this difficult year. \nBiography\nCarrie Hurihanganui \n \nCarrie originally joined Air New Zealand in 1999 as International Cabin Crew. She did that for 3 years and then began her career in management in Air New Zealand\, initially in service delivery and then with the International Cabin Crew where she first started. Over the following 12 years\, her managerial roles became increasingly complex with a series of General Manager roles at Eagle Air\, with Offshore Airports\, and Customer Experience\, culminating in the role of Group General Manager Regional Airlines and Airline Operations. \nIn 2017\, Carrie moved to Australia to work with the National Australia Bank as Executive General Manager Customer Experience but by mid-2018\, Air New Zealand had lured her back across the ditch to take on the role of Chief Group Operations Officer. She is now Chief Operating Officer and has much to tell us about forging a career in executive leadership in the once male dominated field of airline operations. \nThank you to Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Toll Group for their sponsorship of this event.\nIf you are not already a regular visitor to the Centre for Supply Chain Management and would like to check out our website and LinkedIn page\, please click here: CSCM website and LinkedIn page. \nIf you would like to be added to our Invitation list or for further details\, please email Alisha at: a.castelino@auckland.ac.nz \nParking will be available under the building. After parking your car\, please make your way to the lifts and exit at Level 1.\nWalk through the big glass entry doors\, log your visit in the Covid 19 App and sanitize your hands\, then take the lift to Level 3. Signs will show you the way to our Conference Room. \n  \n
