Sustainability at F&P Healthcare “Positioning sustainability as a design challenge to create world leading innovation”.
F&P Healthcare are a world leading medical device manufacturer. Headquartered in NZ & selling to over 120 countries worldwide they understand and share the global sustainability challenges that lay ahead for us all. In this presentation you will hear about their sustainability intent, approach to sustainability engagement & governance, how they are thinking about carbon, ethical sourcing, are positioning carbon as a design challenge & some practical tips/ approaches to sustainability.

Key Speakers:
Jonti Rhodes (Vice President – Supply Chain, Facilities and Sustainability)
Jonti is a part of F&P Healthcare’s executive leadership team responsible for global Supply Chain, Facilities, Infrastructure & Environmental sustainability. He was appointed to his position of Vice President– Supply Chain, Facilities and Sustainability in 2022. Jonti joined Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in 2007 as a product design engineer, and since that time has held several roles, both in New Zealand and the United States, in quality, regulatory and supply chain. Jonti has overseen the implementation of the NZ and US distribution hubs, played a key role in the development of the company’s product surveillance system, was the supply chain business lead for their global SAP roll out & has led the supply chain, facilities & Sustainability teams throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic response. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Auckland University of Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business, Master of Business Administration & has completed the strategic Supply Chain management program all through the UoA
Nic Bishop (Head of Sustainability & Environmental Innovation)
Nic created the first sustainability strategy for F&P upon joining the company in 2016. He has worked in sustainability roles in some of NZ’s largest companies over the last 20 years. Nic created the recycling program to support the Fonterra Milk for Schools program, assisted Trade Me to baseline the environmental impact of their second-hand trading platform, and has set up the ecodesign program at F&P to inspire the 500+ design engineers at F&P to embed sustainability considerations in the design of healthcare devices.
