About the Role:
They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Materials and Purchasing Coordinator to join their team. In this key role, you will manage materials planning, procurement, and inventory processes to support production operations. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in supply chain management while working collaboratively with their production and operations teams.
As their Materials and Purchasing Coordinator, you will ensure the efficient procurement of materials, maintain accurate forecasts, and build strong supplier relationships. You will also contribute to the optimization of inventory levels and processes, helping them deliver exceptional results to their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage materials planning, procurement, and inventory to meet production requirements.
- Maintain accurate forecasts based on historical sales data and customer demand.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials while optimizing costs.
- Review and update safety stock, lead times, and order quantities to align with operational needs.
- Generate and modify reports within MFGPRO to support decision-making and operational requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
To be successful you will have the following:
- Proven experience in materials planning, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with MFGPRO or comparable MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A proactive and organized approach to managing tasks and priorities.
