As we have been a little thin on the ground for events this year, we decided that we would like to celebrate the end of the year with you with wrap up drinks and discussion.

The Centre of Supply Chain Management would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday 15th December, at 5pm at the University of Auckland Business School where we will be able to debrief the year and start looking toward next year.

Joining us will be Carrie Hurihanganui, Chief Operating Officer, Air New Zealand. Carrie will speak with us about how she has made her career decisions, what she has learnt this year and what she is looking forward to in 2021. It will be a pleasure to hear how she has navigated the difficulties of this year and learn some of her tips for resilience which have enabled her to maintain her wellbeing and focus during this difficult year.

    Biography
    Carrie Hurihanganui

Carrie originally joined Air New Zealand in 1999 as International Cabin Crew. She did that for 3 years and then began her career in management in Air New Zealand, initially in service delivery and then with the International Cabin Crew where she first started. Over the following 12 years, her managerial roles became increasingly complex with a series of General Manager roles at Eagle Air, with Offshore Airports, and Customer Experience, culminating in the role of Group General Manager Regional Airlines and Airline Operations.

In 2017, Carrie moved to Australia to work with the National Australia Bank as Executive General Manager Customer Experience but by mid-2018, Air New Zealand had lured her back across the ditch to take on the role of Chief Group Operations Officer. She is now Chief Operating Officer and has much to tell us about forging a career in executive leadership in the once male dominated field of airline operations.

Thank you to Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Toll Group for their sponsorship of this event.
